Day 3   15 February 2007
Got a short e-mail from our walkers. They made 17 miles today, still easing in a bit. They also sent in some bad news. A close family member lost their son in Iraq on February 4.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kay, her husband, and their family.

Dear Gretchen and Kelley-

Congratulations are in order! Quite an accomplishment reaching Vidal Junction. Tom and I are very proud and honored to sponsor every mile of the walk in memory of Chance and to help those wounded warriors (Fischer House/Semper Fi Fund) who have served our nation honorably and proudly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to every family and friends who have a loved one serving in harms way.

Love Karen
