Phelps, who was killed by enemy insurgents in Iraq on April 9th, 2004. You can learn more about who we are and our efforts here.

    Vidal Junction   20 February 2007
    Update: On Friday, Gretchen and Kelley closed in on the 100 mile mark, at Vidal Junction, CA. They've had no Internet access so no pictures, yet. But once they hit the Arizona state line (about 23 miles) they should have access to the amenities of civilization again.

    They stopped for a few days at Vidal to make some minor RV repairs. They should be setting out again today (Tuesday) so expect another update soon!

    Grand Junction, Colorado is anxiously awaiting your arrival. The Daily Sentinel did a great article about your walk! Keep putting one foot in front of the other!
